Job Description

Job duties include operating all equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing product, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, cleaning equipment and facility, and training orientation. Communication skills include comprehending and giving correct written instructions, and communicating verbally with customers and co-workers. Essential functions/skills include adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing accurately, making correct monetary change, verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders, motor coordination, and ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.

Work Conditions

Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions, in-store temperatures ranging from 36 degrees in cooler to 90 degrees and above in some work areas, sudden changes in temperature, fumes from food odors, exposure to cornmeal dust, cramped quarters including walk-in cooler, hot surfaces/tools, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Sensing includes talking and hearing on the telephone, near and mid-range vision, depth perception, and ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces. Temperaments include directing activities, performing repetitive tasks, working along and with others, working under stress, meeting strict quality control standards, dealing with people, analyzing and compiling data, making judgments and decisions. Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, driving, pushing, climbing, stooping/bending, crouching/squatting, reaching, and hand tasks are also required.
