Subrogation Specialist - Transportation and Logistics Industry

Subrogation Specialist A growing organization in the transportation and logistics industry is seeking a Subrogation Specialist to join its Claims team. This role is responsible for identifying, investigating, and recovering funds related to third-party liability claims. The position plays a key role in minimizing financial loss and improving recovery outcomes across the business. Key Responsibilities Investigate claims to identify subrogation opportunities involving third-party liability Review claim files, police reports, and supporting documentation to determine fault and recovery potential Communicate and negotiate with insurance carriers, attorneys, and third parties to resolve claims Prepare and submit subrogation demands with accurate and complete documentation Track claims through the full recovery lifecycle, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution Partner with internal teams to identify recovery opportunities and improve processes Maintain detailed records of all claim activity, communications, and settlements Provide regular updates and reporting on recovery progress Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience in insurance claims handling or subrogation Strong understanding of liability, insurance principles, and claims processes Experience working with auto, commercial, or transportation-related claims is highly preferred Proven ability to negotiate and drive claims to resolution Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze complex claim information Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word Experience with claims management systems is a plus Why This Role High-impact position with direct visibility into financial recovery efforts.
