Bartender

Position Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic, outgoing, and service-oriented Bartender to join our team at the Rochester Ice Center. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong mixology skills, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting drinks, maintaining a clean and organized bar, and providing exceptional customer service in a fun and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide friendly, attentive service and engage with customers to create a positive atmosphere.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently and accurately.
• Take and process food and beverage orders through the point-of-sale system.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and kitchen areas at all times.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including proper alcohol service.
• Monitor bar inventory and communicate supply needs to the supervisor.
• Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and issue correct change and receipts.
• Respond to customer concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues when necessary.
• Set up and break down bar areas before and after shifts.
• Restock coolers and bar supplies as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous bartending experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Accurate cash-handling and basic math skills.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with bar equipment (mixers, blenders, beer taps, etc.).
• Food safety and alcohol service certifications (e.g., ServSafe, TIPS).

Work Environment:

• Prolonged standing, walking, and occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs).
• Busy and noisy environment, especially during events.
• Flexible schedule required, including evenings and weekends.

Pay Rate:

• $13.50 $15.00 per hour plus tips (based on experience)
