Tool and Die Maker/Technician - First/Second Shift

Job Description

A manufacturing company is seeking a Tool & Die Maker/Technician to fit mold/tool components, assemble fitting, hydraulic, and water plumbing, and installation of hot runner and limit switches. Can work first or second shift; however, a typical work week is up to 55 hours.

Job Responsibilities:

• Use various tools to lift, move, disassemble, and reassemble dies
• Hand assemble, fit, or grind molds and parts to customer specifications
• Provide components in a timely manner to meet production schedules
• Perform all phases of assembly and dis-assembly of tools, and perform all phases of installing and plumbing water lines, hydraulic lines, and systems
• Demonstrate good shop practices, such as, safety oriented, organization, and cleanliness
• Complete work with little supervision
• Inform management of anticipated conflicts for future operations
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Job Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED and a t least 2 years bench experience is preferred
• Must possess strong mechanical, some electrical aptitude, ability to troubleshoot, and solve problems
• Overhead crane operation experience and basic computer skills are preferred
• Must be competent and comfortable using information technology
• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must enjoy working in a team environment and learning and applying new technology
• Must have the ability to adhere to current and future company standards for conducting work and safety inspections of equipment and work safely and in a manner consistent internal safety policies and procedures
• Must be able to frequently lift or move up to 35 pounds, handle manual labor, be on your feet all day long, and wear PPE when needed
• Must be conscientious and persistent about meeting or beating department throughput and delivery goals
