Job Description

The Production Coordinator supports daily manufacturing operations by coordinating production activities, monitoring performance metrics, maintaining production documentation, and assisting with workforce coordination. This role works closely with production leadership to ensure production schedules are met while maintaining safety, quality, efficiency, and GMP compliance. The position also supports associate training, reporting, problem resolution, and operational communication across the facility.

Skills / Experience

• Experience working in a manufacturing or food production environment.
• Knowledge of production scheduling, run rates, changeovers, and workflow coordination.
• Experience preparing reports and maintaining production records.
• Ability to analyze production data and identify operational issues.
• Experience supporting teams, coordinating staffing, and assisting with training.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced production environments while managing multiple priorities.

Required Skills

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Basic proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, and data entry.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret safety procedures, operating instructions, and production documentation.
• Ability to complete reports accurately and on time.
• Understanding of GMP, food safety, and workplace safety requirements.
• Ability to problem solve and make sound operational decisions.
• Ability to work flexible shifts as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in hot, cold, noisy, and industrial manufacturing environments.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, push, pull, and perform production-related activities throughout the shift.

Desired Skills

• Previous leadership, coordinator, lead, or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in food manufacturing.
• Experience with labor utilization tracking, yield reporting, and production efficiency monitoring.
• Knowledge of scheduling and workforce planning.
• Experience training and developing associates.
• Ability to coordinate multiple production priorities with minimal supervision.
• Experience using production reporting systems, ERP systems, or manufacturing software.
• Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, or TPM experience preferred.
