Job Description
Exciting Opportunity for Postpartum RN!

Job Description:


- Join a dynamic team as a Postpartum RN in a fast-paced hospital environment!


- Experience Required:
- Minimum of 1 year of postpartum RN experience in a hospital setting
- Level 1 Nursery experience preferred

- Licensure & Certifications:
- Active California RN License
- BLS and NRP certifications required
- Must have FLU vaccine (no exemptions)

- Shift Details:
- Night shift: 3x12-hour schedule (19:00 - 07:30)
- Must work 3 out of 5 holidays
- Weekend coverage required

- Special Requirements:
- EPIC charting system experience required
- Floating within the scope of practice

- Patient Care Skills:
- Administration of blood & blood products
- Management of newborns, including low birth weight and multiple births
- Circumcision care and education for parents
- Breastfeeding support and discharge teaching
- Management of postpartum complications

- Unit Information:
- Work with mothers and their newborns in a supportive, collaborative environment
- Participate in critical procedures like newborn screening and bilirubin blood draws


- Key Attributes:
- Flexibility in scheduling and adaptability in a team setting
- Strong communication skills to support parents and families

- Compliance:
- Must provide 2 references from previous employment within the last year
- Background checks required; all hits must be resolved
