Job Details Reports To: Senior Geotechnical Engineer Manager Once Removed: Senior Manager, Technical Services Direct Reports: Yes Job Type: Full‑time, Regular Location: Helvetia, AZ Mission To create sustainable value and strong returns by leveraging core strengths in community relations, focused exploration, mine development and efficient operations. Purpose of Role Reporting to the Senior Geotechnical Engineer, the Mine Hydrogeologist will assist the project by collecting, processing and interpreting data. The work environment provides a diverse experience working with various professionals across different departments both on‑site and in‑office. Role Accountabilities Support the senior geotechnical engineer with the feasibility study by critically assessing the technical and financial aspects of the project. Independently perform routine work such as collecting and assessing hydrogeological data, identifying hazards, site inspections and reports, and coordinating with staff and consultants. Review and perform borehole testing such as packer, airlift, pump and injection tests. Collect and assess monitoring data. QA/QC hydrogeological and geotechnical data. Read technical reports and provide summaries of the contents. Assist with developing groundwater monitoring plans and data collection systems. Provide support on projects related to the hydrology and geotechnical program. Complete workplace examinations identifying safety hazards. Assist with planning for hydrology and geotechnical data acquisition in support of the feasibility study. Minimum Qualifications and Education Bachelor of Engineering or Science in Hydrology, Mining, Civil, Geological, Geotechnical, or related engineering/science discipline. Previous experience installing piezometers and conducting borehole testing. Proficient with MS Office, related software and computers. Ability to travel to and from sites. Strong communication and team skills. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience at a mine site. Experience with ArcGIS, QGIS, MODFLOW, SEEP/W, MinePlan or other related software. Other Requirements Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, using hands to manipulate tools and sensors, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
