Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Associate Job Description

The Shipping and Receiving Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring that orders are accurately picked, packed, and shipped using established work practices. This position involves restocking picking bins, sorting, counting, and receiving merchandise, and moving products using powered material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick and pack orders using established work practices.

• Restock picking bins with products brought from reserve storage based on warehouse management system reporting.

• Sort, count, and receive all merchandise accurately.

• Move products to and from pallet racks using powered material handling equipment such as pallet jacks.

• Work with conveyors to accurately build pallets of cartons for shipping.

• Load or unload trucks, sorting and labeling products as needed.

• Organize warehouse storage space effectively.

• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment at all times.

• Use an RF scanner/hand scanner to direct work tasks such as picking, packing, receiving, and moving products.

• Utilize sortation walls and conveyor systems to complete daily tasks.

• Meet safety, productivity, and quality standards.

• Demonstrate flexibility in daily task assignments and perform other general warehouse tasks as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in picking, order selection, and packing processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience is a plus.

Work Environment

The work environment is within a distribution company focused on e-commerce. The facility is not climate controlled but is equipped with fans to help manage temperatures. The work schedule is from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Chambersburg, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.
