Acute Medicine Registered Nurse (Part-Time, Days)

Join a 38-bed Acute Care Medicine unit providing specialized nursing care for complex clinical conditions. This part-time role offers 24 hours weekly, with 12-hour day shifts, maintaining a nurse-patient ratio of 4 or 5 patients per nurse. Responsibilities Include Providing direct patient care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with nursing standards. Promoting patient and family-centered care, including education on illness management, medication, and post-discharge needs. Participating in safety, quality, and regulatory activities, as well as ongoing professional development. Developing and documenting individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team, patients, and families. Assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and barriers to involvement. Qualifications Include RN license required; Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree, with a preference for Bachelor's degree. No prior experience necessary, but two years of experience is preferred for advanced roles. Safety-sensitive position requiring alertness and safe working practices.
