Overview Tutor pharmacy students on how to be an effective learner of concepts and skills taught in the pharmacy program. Responsibilities
- Effectively tutor students individually or in small groups
- Review concepts, terminologies, and skills taught in the class
- Create and review practice problems covered in class and based on the course textbooks
- Prepare students for assessments including providing study and time management strategies
- Keep daily record of students tutored and materials utilized. Other related duties as assigned
- Enrolled in a Doctor of Pharmacy degree with an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy and in good academic-standing
- Excellent interpersonal skills, professional outlook as well as demonstrated good time management, coping strategies and work ethic
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
- Willingness to help fellow colleagues become better learners under stressful conditions
- Demonstration of academic distinction (e.g., Dean's List, Rho Chi-inducted member)
- Endorsement from the course coordinator of the course(s) the tutor will be tutoring
