Exciting Opportunity for an Orthopedic Physical Therapist!

Job Description:


- Shift: 8 Hours (Days: M-F 8am - 5pm)
- Position: Outpatient Physical Therapist
- Location: An offsite PT outpatient clinic
- Specialization: Orthopedic Physical Therapy

Key Responsibilities:


- Demonstrate competency in providing physical therapy for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Conduct patient assessments and develop individual treatment programs.
- Implement effective therapeutic interventions using current methodologies.
- Maintain comprehensive and timely documentation of patient care.

Evaluation and Treatment:


- Complete evaluations within 48 hours, setting appropriate goals based on the patient's prior levels of function.
- Develop and modify treatment plans based on ongoing assessments.
- Utilize specialized techniques and recommend necessary equipment for patient safety.

Patient and Family Education:


- Educate patients and families using various teaching methods tailored to their understanding.
- Document patient performance and follow-up needs effectively.

Collaboration and Communication:


- Communicate treatment plans and patient status efficiently with the healthcare team and physicians.
- Participate in team conferences and address any authorizations or guidelines in a timely manner.

Supervision and Delegation:


- Delegate and supervise support staff and students, ensuring desired outcomes are achieved.
- Provide clinical supervision and constructive feedback to support staff and students.

Time Management and Compliance:


- Meet departmental productivity standards and manage time effectively.
- Complete necessary administrative tasks and documentation in accordance with department policies.

Additional Duties:


- Perform other related responsibilities as assigned in a professional manner.

Cancellation Policy:


- The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.

- Cerner

Required Certifications:


- BLS (AHA)
