Civil Engineer

Position As the Town continues to see steady growth, the Civil Engineer is key to ensuring development and public infrastructure is adequately designed and installed. The Civil Engineer will perform development reviews of town infrastructure, residential, and commercial development projects. Other roles and responsibilities include performing a variety of technical reviews and engineering tasks related to streets, transportation, storm water drainage and water issues. This person will also serve as project manager for assigned Town projects. $82,000-$112,000 Annually Anticipated hiring range: $82,000-$97,000 Annually Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field Experience with municipal development review and public infrastructure projects Knowledge of streets, utilities, drainage/stormwater, transportation, and water systems Ability to review engineering plans, permits, and construction documents for code compliance Experience managing capital improvement and public works projects Strong project management and interagency coordination skills Ability to communicate technical information clearly to staff, boards, consultants, and the public Proficiency with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, GIS, and standard office software Knowledge of municipal engineering standards, construction practices, and regulatory compliance Colorado PE license and/or project management certifications preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr Town of Buena Vista
