About the Position

Job Title: Travel RN - Mother/Baby Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Post Partum/Mom Baby Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of Mother/Baby acute care hospital experience License: Registered Nurse license required Certifications: BLS and NRP required Must-Have: - Minimum 1 year of current Mother/Baby acute care hospital experience - BLS & NRP certification Description: The unit has 26 beds. The day shift consists of 1 Charge RN and 7-8 RNs. The night shift consists of 1 Charge RN and 6-7 RNs. Patient ratios are typically 1:3 or 1:4, estimated but never guaranteed. The unit uses EMR Meditech / CPN for documentation. Candidates should possess compassionate, caring, patient, and friendly qualities with a can-do attitude. Experience in lactation and transitions is preferred but not required. Common procedures performed include circumcisions and education of newborn parents on safety, nurturing, and health of the baby. The ideal candidate should have experience in patient care. Consideration for equipment and technology enhancements as well as the tenure and experience of staff will help attract talent.
