Job Description Programmatic Media Trader Description A leading digital advertising agency is seeking a driven, detail-oriented, full-time Programmatic Media Trader to manage the execution and analysis of client media campaigns across display, video, audio, and other programmatic channels. The Programmatic Media Trader will have a strong understanding of DSP platforms and a passion for using data to drive campaign strategy and performance. This person will serve as a day-to-day client contact for programmatic media efforts and will be accountable for improving campaign performance through hands‑on execution, optimization, and analysis. The role requires a collaborative, self-motivated team player with a strong interest in advertising technology. There may also be opportunities to mentor and manage junior programmatic team members, providing guidance on campaign execution, optimization strategies, and platform best practices. Areas of Responsibility Develop deep expertise across leading programmatic platforms, including available ad units, targeting options, audience providers, and inventory sources Operate within multiple DSP platforms and understand their core functionality, offerings, targeting capabilities, and inventory sources Execute media plans from trafficking and launch through technical troubleshooting, optimization, and ongoing account management Collaborate with cross-channel teams across Search, Social, Analytics, and Creative to ensure programmatic efforts align with broader marketing strategies and business objectives Lead weekly or bi-weekly client calls to discuss account performance, interpret data, and develop action plans Ensure campaign quality through rigorous QA processes Optimize live campaigns against agreed-upon KPIs and performance goals Maintain strong client relationships while clearly communicating the value of programmatic media efforts Identify and present new opportunities for account growth and improved media performance Analyze reporting and performance metrics to identify key drivers, communicate account health, and provide actionable insights Manage campaign budgets on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis Build and maintain strong relationships with media partners and collaborate with partners on campaign performance and strategy Develop client-facing presentations and present findings and recommendations when needed Create and execute ongoing testing plans across ad formats, creative, landing pages, targeting strategies, and industry opportunities Mentor and coach junior programmatic team members Onboard new clients, including account setup, billing, pixel implementation, audience creation, and QA Stay current on emerging programmatic trends, DSP updates, advertising technology, and industry best practices Qualifications 1.5+ years of client-facing experience in programmatic media Experience managing programmatic budgets of $1M+ per month Hands-on experience with DSPs, including campaign planning, trafficking, execution, optimization, and reporting Experience with ad server technology; Campaign Manager 360 experience preferred Demonstrated experience optimizing campaigns against KPIs such as ROAS, CPA, CPC, CTR, and related performance metrics Strong understanding of remarketing and advanced targeting tactics, including dynamic creative, CRM audiences, site retargeting, search retargeting, contextual targeting, affinity audiences, lookalikes, and similar strategies Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, along with experience using data analytics and reporting tools Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Genuine interest in advertising technology and career growth within the AdTech space Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, partners, and internal teams Self-starter with strong multitasking skills and exceptional attention to detail Strong understanding of creative and ad copy best practices and their impact on campaign performance Results-oriented with a strong focus on delivering measurable client outcomes Willingness to take ownership, go above and beyond, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform under pressure Relevant industry certifications are a plus #J-18808-Ljbffr Method Recruiting, a 3x Inc. 5000 company
