Job Title: Electrician Job Description

This role focuses on installing, testing, and commissioning industrial electrical equipment and infrastructure on active construction sites. You will work with 480V systems and a wide range of electrical components, perform detailed electrical testing and troubleshooting, and support project energization and closeout. The position requires strong technical skills, the ability to interpret complex drawings and documentation, and strict adherence to safety standards and procedures.

• Install electrical equipment and infrastructure, including breakers, transformers, switches, conduit, cable, wiring, and 480V systems.
• Install and terminate conduit, tray, duct bank, cable, and 480V electrical systems in an industrial construction environment.
• Perform electrical testing, quality checks, troubleshooting, commissioning, energization, and project closeout activities.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, one-lines, schematics, wiring diagrams, manuals, and work packages to plan and execute work accurately.
• Document work performed, electrical test results, and as-built changes in a clear and organized manner.
• Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO), grounding procedures, NFPA 70E standards, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements at all times.
• Safely operate common electrical test tools, hand tools, and power tools, as well as vehicles and equipment on active construction sites.
• Pull wire and bend conduit, ensuring neat, code-compliant installations.
• Adapt quickly to changing roles and responsibilities in a high-paced, challenging work environment.
• Support varying schedules driven by site operational needs, including frequent overtime, night shifts, weekend work, and extended shifts during construction and energization.
• Travel frequently on a construction rotation, working at different project sites as needed.
• Perform physically demanding tasks such as standing, kneeling, crouching, twisting, climbing, and working in cramped positions and at elevated heights.

• At least 5 years of industrial electrical construction experience installing conduit, tray, duct bank, cable, and 480V terminations.
• Strong experience with electrical installation, including conduit bending, pulling wire, cable installation, and electrical wiring.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, one-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, manuals, and work packages.
• Proficiency with common electrical test tools, including multimeters, meggers, and ammeters.
• Proficiency with construction hand tools and power tools used in electrical work.
• Working knowledge of NFPA 70E electrical safety standards.
• Working knowledge of lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and grounding practices.
• Ability to perform troubleshooting on electrical systems and equipment.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds, work at heights, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, overtime, and extended shifts during construction and energization.
• Ability and willingness to travel 80% or more on a construction rotation.
• Ability to rapidly adapt to changing tasks and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• Experience working on active construction sites in an industrial setting.
• Comfort with general labor tasks associated with electrical construction.
• Ability to stand for up to 6 hours per day and sit for up to 3 hours per day.
• Ability to push and pull up to 75 pounds (unassisted) for 1–2 hours per day.
• Ability to reach overhead for up to 3 hours per day.
• Ability to walk for extended periods as required by site conditions.

This is an outdoor, onsite construction environment that is fast-paced and physically demanding. You will work on active construction sites with exposure to fumes, odors, noise, heat, cold, and rain. The schedule varies based on site operational needs and frequently includes overtime, weekend work, night shifts, and extended hours during critical construction and energization phases. The role requires standing for up to 6 hours per day, sitting for up to 3 hours, pushing and pulling up to 75 pounds unassisted for 1–2 hours, overhead reaching for up to 3 hours, and regular walking. You will often work in cramped positions, on ladders and lifts at elevated heights, and in confined spaces, using standard construction tools and electrical test equipment while following all safety and PPE requirements.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, TX.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Dallas,TX.
