Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Summary:

Provides comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Room, ensuring safety, efficacy, and quality standards are maintained. Supervises nursing staff, coordinates patient care, and collaborates with the healthcare team to deliver optimal results.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Deliver patient-centered nursing care according to established standards and protocols.
  
  
• 
  Supervise and coordinate activities of nursing staff within the Emergency Department.
  
  
• 
  Assess patient conditions, analyze assessment data, and develop care plans.
  
  
• 
  Implement and evaluate care interventions, adjusting as necessary to meet patient needs.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure safe, humane, and effective care delivery.
  
  
• 
  Educate patients and families regarding health management and discharge planning.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold a valid RN license in the state of practice.
  
  
• 
  Possess current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  
  
• 
  Have at least two years of recent emergency department nursing experience, with three or more preferred.
  
  
• 
  Maintain certification in ACLS and PALS from an approved provider.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency with electronic health record systems, specifically EPIC.
  
  
• 
  Bachelors Degree in Nursing (preferred).
