Requirements

• High School Education/GED or equivalent
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification required
• Successful completion of audiometry and vision training or CHDP certificate preferred
• Phlebotomy certificate preferred
• At least two years recent experience in the field

Responsibilities

• Set up exam rooms and check in patients.
• Maintain a patient recall system and continuity of care log for lab tests, referrals, and transfers.
• Obtain vital signs and report significant findings to the physician.
• Perform venipunctures, audiometry, and vision testing as ordered.
• Handle phone calls and direct messages appropriately.
• Process patient charts and verify insurance information.
• Prepare charts with necessary forms for patient visits.
• Maintain an adequate inventory of office supplies and equipment.
• Collect co-payments and assist with patient referrals as needed.
