Phlebotomist Opportunity in Clearwater, FL

Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist to support our client's healthcare facility in Clearwater, FL 33761. Schedule: 5:30am-2:30pm/Eastern. Location: Clearwater, FL 33761. Job Type: Local contract. Contract Length: 3 Months +. Pay Range: $19.85 to $21.26/hour. Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily patient service and laboratory support activities accurately and within established timelines.
• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection, including pediatric and geriatric patients.
• Prepare, label, process, and handle specimens according to established procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment.
• Complete all required records, documentation, and data entry accurately.
• Provide excellent customer service and create a positive patient experience.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and protect sensitive health information.
• Demonstrate professionalism and a positive image when interacting with patients, clients, employees, and the public.
• Work independently while following established practices and procedures.
• Support operational needs and demonstrate flexibility based on staffing requirements.

Job Requirements

• Ability to produce high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
• Strong phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Flexible availability based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime when required.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent – Required
• Medical Assistant or Paramedic training – Preferred
• Phlebotomy certification – Preferred
• Phlebotomy certification is required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Work Experience

• Minimum 6 months of relevant experience – Required
• 1+ year of phlebotomy experience – Preferred
• Previous customer service experience in a retail or service environment – Preferred
• Keyboarding and data-entry experience – Required
