Accounts Payable Clerk - Finance - FT Days

Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System

Performs accounts payable accounting functions.

Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Processes incoming mail and matches invoice quantities and prices to purchase orders.
  • Requests checks to be processed.
  • Delivers posted invoices to appropriate staff to prepare for matching of invoices to checks for mailing.
  • Distributes computerized reports.
  • Updates vendor master file.
  • Abides by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI).

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED ** :**

  • Computer skills, calculator proficiency, data entry skills.
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office software.
  • Knowledge of the principles of accounting.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Data Entry experience.
  • Accounting/office experience.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Payables or General Accounting Clerk experience.
