Youth and Family Mental Health Clinician

General Outpatient Therapist – Family & Youth Team Yamhill County has one regular full‑time position for a General Outpatient Therapist to work on the Family & Youth team providing mental health services to children and their families. Duties include engagement, crisis support, diagnosing, direct treatment, integrated behavioral health assessments, service planning and implementation, individual and family therapy, case management, and collaborative service documentation. The position also provides clinic‑based crisis coverage during regular business hours as part of a team rotation schedule. Position Type This position may be filled as either an Advanced Practice Behavioral Health Clinician or a Behavioral Health Clinician, depending on experience and credentialing. Compensation Advanced Practice Behavioral Health Clinician Salary: $6,450 - $8,171/month (DOE) Behavioral Health Clinician Salary: $5,925 - $7,571/month (DOE) Benefits 15 paid holidays per year. 19.5 days of Flexible Earned Time (FET) accrual in the first year. PERS (Public Employee Retirement System) - 100% employer funded contributions. Full health benefit offerings with employee premiums starting as low as $70.18/month for PPA or $0/month for HMO during current plan year 2025-2026.

Qualifications A master’s degree from an accredited school in social work, clinical psychology, or a related field. One year of experience as a Human Services Specialist I. Any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and training that ensures ability to perform the work may substitute for the above. Must have an NPI number or the ability to obtain one upon employment. Must qualify as QMHP, or QMRP to work in respective fields. May require licensing. Preference for applicants with training and experience in evidence‑based practices and providing intensive mental health and addictions services in a community‑based setting. Candidate Profile Successful candidates will have excellent organizational, paperwork management, and communication skills – both verbally and in writing, plus typing and computer proficiency. They must be able to prepare concise and complete client treatment progress records. Dependable, organized, self‑directed, detail‑oriented, and capable of interacting with co‑workers, clients, and the public in a courteous, professional manner. Must have working knowledge of community mental health and substance use disorder services and demonstrated knowledge and skill with diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment planning techniques specifically related to community mental health services. Must be able to understand behavior of people under stress, develop cooperative relationships with clients, families, and the community, and maintain relationships with physicians, law enforcement agencies, courts, public and private administrators, and the community at large.
