The Grill at Torrey Pines Located at The Lodge at Torrey Pines in La Jolla, The Grill embraces the nostalgia of cooking over an open fire. Guests can savor the smoky flavors of dishes from the restaurant's custom-built wood-burning rotisserie and cozy up for a leisurely meal complete with sweeping views of the iconic Torrey Pines Golf Course. The Grill's welcoming ambiance and exceptional service promise a memorable experience for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
The Bartender ("Cantinero/a") serves each guest with the highest standard of professionalism, courtesy and enthusiasm to make the guest's day/evening enjoyable. Serves beverages to patrons seated at the bar and to cocktail servers servicing the lounge.
Compensation: $19.00
- Earn $1000 for Culinary, Engineering, Housekeeping and $350 for all other roles for each hires referral at any Evans Hotels.

Essential Duties
- Mix and correctly serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to patrons of the restaurant and bar, following standard recipes and techniques.
- Maintain current knowledge of ingredients, such as liquor, wine, and other items.
- Solicit, promote and serve drinks in an efficient and courteous fashion with a smile.
- Stock and set up of bar equipment and station according to department standards.
- Verify patrons ID, as required.
- Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team.
Qualifications
- At least 1-2 years of relevant experience and/or training.
- A combination of experience, education, and/or training may be substituted for either requirement.
- Previous similar position in a hotel, or similar business entity preferred.
- Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required.
- Must be able to attain a valid San Diego County Food Handler certification upon hire. Evans Hotels will provide this training and is to be completed at the company's expense.
- RBS certification required.
- Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 25 lbs.
