Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced IR/Special Procedure Technologist for a dynamic imaging team. The role involves performing complex interventional radiography procedures with a focus on patient safety and equipment proficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Perform interventional and specialized radiographic procedures according to established protocols.
• Maintain application of radiation safety, infection control, and patient safety policies during imaging procedures.
• Operate diagnostic and hybrid interventional radiology equipment with proficiency.
• Adhere to rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call assignments.
• Collaborate with the medical team to ensure quality imaging and patient care standards.
• Maintain necessary licenses, certifications, and continuing education requirements.

Qualifications:

• Hold a Radiography Registry R.T. (R) credential from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Possess at least 2 years of experience in interventional radiography; hybrid procedures preferred.
• Have a Cardiac or Vascular Interventional registry (ARRT) or be eligible to obtain it within six months.
• Maintain a valid Connecticut State radiography license.
• Possess and sustain an active BLS and/or ACLS certification.
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic procedures.
