Shipping SpecialistRiverpoint Medical in Portland Oregon is looking to hire a Shipping Specialist. Our ingenuity can be found in our suture technologies, sports medicine fibers and anchors, surgical lighting, and special needle technologies.Job OverviewThe Riverpoint Medical Shipping Specialist will work with production to support the input and output of goods through the business process. They will be responsible to support the Warehouse and Shipping Manager to maintain and improve shipping/receiving practices and processes in order to ensure accuracy, timeliness, safety, and quality within their responsible area.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery areaMaintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulationsCompletes reports by entering required informationAssist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandiseSort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to organizational standardsOpen bales, crates, and other containersMaintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing request, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through a computer.
