Make a positive impact supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in a high school emotional disabilities (ED) classroom for a 6–12 week contract assignment in the Bath/Hornell, NY area. This is a full-time, onsite position providing dedicated support for students and collaborating with educational professionals. As a substitute teacher for this coverage, you’ll help ensure continuity of instruction and contribute to student success.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid New York State teaching license with high school endorsement
• Required certifications for an ED classroom setting
• Experience in special education, particularly with emotional disabilities at the high school level, preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to engage and motivate students with diverse learning needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to high school students in an emotional disabilities (ED) classroom
• Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student strengths and needs
• Foster a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
• Collaborate with educational staff, support personnel, and families to promote student growth
• Monitor and document student progress, reporting on development as required
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet dynamic classroom and individual student requirements

Contract Details:

• Assignment expected to begin September 8, 2026, and run through approximately December 4, 2026
• Full-time hours, 32.5 per week, onsite only
• One position available
