Virginia Commonwealth University is an equal opportunity employer.School Of Medicine MBUDermatologyTo provide the highest quality care to patients with skin disorders in an atmosphere of compassion and caring and to contribute exceptional dermatologists and dermatologic surgeons to the physician workforce.To provide high-quality dermatopathology diagnostic services, contribute to the education of future dermatologists and pathologists, and support the research mission of the Department of Dermatology.Teaching: The faculty member will participate in the education of dermatology and pathology residents, fellows, and medical students. Responsibilities include leading dermatopathology teaching sessions, supervising trainees during slide reviews, and contributing to departmental Grand Rounds and other academic forums.Research: The faculty member is encouraged to engage in scholarly activities, including clinical or translational research in dermatopathology. Participation in collaborative research projects and publication in peer-reviewed journals is expected.Service: The faculty member will support the Department's and University's missions by serving on institutional committees and participating in professional organizations, particularly those related to dermatopathology and dermatology.Clinical: The faculty member will provide dermatopathology diagnostic services, including interpretation of skin biopsies and consultations. Clinical responsibilities may also include limited direct patient care in dermatology, depending on the candidate's interests and training.
