Shop AssistantJoin our team as a Shop Assistant and play an important role in maintaining the equipment that keeps our operations running smoothly. This position will work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and will be responsible for supporting fleet mechanics with a variety of shop and equipment related tasks.Team Member BenefitsPay: $18 - $22 per hour, depending on experienceCompensation IncentivesHealth, Vision, & Dental Benefits401(k) plan, with company matchShort Term and Long Term DisabilityEmployee Assistance ProgramReferral bonusPerformance reviewsAnnual boot reimbursementAnnual rain gear reimbursementCompany eventsAwards and recognition from peers and leadersOngoing training and developmentCareer advancementRequirements:Perform tasks including but not limited to washing trucks, cleaning shop bays, vehicle detailing, sharpening mower blades, changing engine oil in small equipment, light mechanical work, transferring vehicles to other DJ's Landscape locations, operating equipment on location for testing proper functioning, etc.Experience working with landscaping equipment preferred.General knowledge of preventative maintenance procedures.Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.Ability to follow safety procedures and work effectively in a team environment.Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and efficiently.Valid U.S. Driver's License required.Must have reliable transportation.Physical requirements: Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday. Ability to push and pull equipment and materials as needed. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely use and grasp hand and power tools. Ability to perform work involving repetitive motions. Ability to work both outdoors and in noisy environments.DJ's Landscape Management is a drug-free workplace.
