Commercial Litigation Counsel or Junior Partner

Job Overview A law firm seeks a senior commercial litigation attorney at the Counsel or Junior Partner level to join their Bethesda, MD office. This role is designed for an attorney seeking meaningful responsibility and autonomy, taking over and running commercial litigation matters delegated by senior partners. The attorney will serve as day-to-day lead counsel on cases and supervise junior attorneys as needed. Duties Manage commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution. Take and defend depositions, argue motions, and handle trial work. Supervise junior attorneys and provide guidance as necessary. Collaborate with senior partners on high-level strategy. Requirements Approximately 10-20+ years of commercial litigation experience. Ability to independently manage cases and lead litigation efforts. Active Virginia bar admission required; DC and/or MD a plus. A small portable book of business (approximately $200K+). Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Bar admission in Virginia; additional admissions in DC and/or MD preferred. Skills Strong litigation and trial skills. Excellent leadership and supervisory abilities.
