JOB DESCRIPTION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Material preparation - masking, blowing, sanding and preparing components
- Painting - selecting and mixing paints, operating painting equipment including pumps and guns
- Abrasive blasting - occasionally operating abrasive blasting equipment to prepare components for paint
- Read equipment assembly specifications, such as charts, schematics, blueprints, and typed instructions and details
- Participate in regular shop/yard organization and cleanliness exercises
- Train new employees in painting/preparation operations as required
- Complete and maintain various records and documentation
- Demonstrate the capability to work independently or in a team on complex and multiple projects requiring judgment to resolve problems
- All other duties as assigned
