Playground Aide/Crossing Guard 5.5 hrs

Playground AideWe are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Playground Aide at Sawtooth Elementary School. This part-time position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and fostering a safe, engaging, and fun outdoor environment during recess and playtime. The Playground Aide will supervise students, promote positive social interactions, and ensure the safety and well-being of all children during their play activities.Responsibilities:Supervise students during recess and outdoor playtime to ensure their safety and well-being.Encourage positive social interactions and conflict resolution among students.Monitor playground equipment and report any safety hazards or maintenance needs.Assist students in organizing games and activities, promoting teamwork and inclusivity.Enforce school rules and policies related to playground behavior and safety.Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and students regarding any concerns or incidents.Maintain a clean and organized playground area, ensuring it is free from hazards.Participate in training sessions and meetings as required by school administration.Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Previous experience working with children in a school or recreational setting is a plus.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively with staff and students.Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate play activities.Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.First aid and CPR certification is preferred but not required (training may be provided).Must be able to pass a background check as required by school policy.Availability to work part-time hours during school days, including recess times.
