CT Technologist - UAB Hospital-Highlands - Multiple Shifts

We provide an environment for growth that includes support from leadership and allows you to work with the latest equipment and procedures, such as microwave and radiofrequency ablation, the O-arm surgical imaging system, and intraoperative CT and fMRI. Job Description Under the direction of a radiologist and the CT supervisor, to perform CT procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. To perform a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to render prescribed CT procedures. Qualifications Graduate from a Radiography program accredited by a mechanism acceptable to the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required. One (1) year experience in general radiography preferred. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently registered as a Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) (R) with ARRT or currently certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB). Candidate will have one (1) year from hire date to become registered in Computed Tomography (CT) from ARRT or obtain CT designation from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB). Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required or should be obtained within 30 days of employment.
