Workers Compensation Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks a full-time Workers' Compensation Attorney based in Palm Desert, CA. The attorney will manage and resolve workers' compensation cases, focusing on legal strategy, advocacy, and compliance within a structured case management system. Duties Evaluate workers' compensation cases for legal merit and strategy. Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and depositions. Prepare and file legal documents and settlement agreements. Conduct settlement negotiations for favorable outcomes. Provide legal guidance to Case Managers. Review complex matters requiring attorney-level decisions. Perform legal research to support case strategy. Communicate with clients regarding case status and outcomes. Maintain accurate documentation in the case management system. Ensure compliance with ethical and regulatory requirements. Collaborate to improve legal workflows and efficiency. Requirements Strong legal analysis and strategic decision-making skills. Effective oral advocacy and negotiation skills. Clear communication with clients and internal teams. Strong time management and ability to handle a high-volume caseload. Ability to work within established processes and protocols. Adaptability to changing priorities and procedures. Education Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Certifications Active license to practice law in California and in good standing. Skills Knowledge of workers' compensation statutes and regulations.
