Delivery Specialist

Compensation

Pay Range: $11.00 - $17.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums that may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use delivery fleet management hand‑held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections.
• Keep delivery vehicles clean, maintained, and perform daily inspections prior to operating.
• Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand‑held devices, and monies collected at all times.
• Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores, etc.) and complete the driver return slip.
• Communicate any problems or special customer needs to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to the store manager immediately.
• Ensure the fuel tank is filled and lock and secure the vehicle at the end of each day.
• Clock in/out according to company policy.
• Perform other assigned duties such as customer service, sweeping, general stocking and straightening stock, merchandising, running errands, handling core returns, checking in and putting up stock orders, etc.
• Occasionally assist customers, serve as a cashier, and/or help with merchandising tasks when business dictates.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record must meet the standard set in the company's 14/18‑point record system.
• Must possess a legally required state driver’s license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements.
• Familiarity with automotive parts (desired).
• Ability to operate other light store equipment (desired).
• Fluency in multiple languages; Spanish highly desired (desired).
