Job Description Summary Performs ultrasound procedures at the entry level requiring knowledge of anatomical positioning and physiology. Must be able to perform high quality ultrasound examination for interpretation by a physician on children, adolescents and adults. Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or registry eligible required. If not certified, must obtain certification within the first year of employment. Basic Life Support required upon hire and thereafter must be maintained, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or an AHA‑recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
