(see requirements below) starting at $ 32.02/li/ulpPosting Specifics/pulliEntry Rate: $38.77 + depending on experience/liliBenefits Eligible: Yes, check them out here/liliShift Details: Part-time, 20 hours per week, day shifts/liliSign-on Bonus up to $3000 for eligible applicants/li/ulh3Minimum Qualifications/h3ulliAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(MR) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R) cross-trained in MRI/liliBasic Life Support certification (BLS) for healthcare providers/liliIV Certification within 30 days of hire/li/ulh3Preferred Qualifications/h3ulli1-2 years of MRI technologist experience/liliBachelors degree from an accredited institution/li/ulh3Specialty Tech in Training:/h3ulliBasic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers./liliApplicable State License/liliCurrently attending and receiving formal training from an accredited training program or successful completion of formal training from an approved/accredited school or a licensed American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R) technologist who has been selected to cross-train in another modality./li/ulh3Preferred Qualifications/h3ulli1-2 years customer service or patient care experience/liliIV Certification/li/ulh3Essential Functions/h3ulliMaintains American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions./liliExhibits leadership skills, acts as a mentor and role model, works with minimal supervision, and can provide direction to the team in the coordinator/managers absence./liliTrains and mentors new staff and students. Acts as a lead tech when assigned./liliEnsures proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for the exam./liliPerforms exams per department protocol and reviews images for quality, clarity, and accuracy./liliAdheres to MRI safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment./liliCompletes studies within acceptable time limits without compromising patient care or quality./liliAssists and instructs students and other MRI Techs in exam protocols, procedures, positioning, and equipment./liliProvides appropriate patient education, ensures patient comfort, and addresses concerns./liliPractices appropriate infection control and sterile techniques./liliUnderstands and operates equipment and related information systems to ensure quality images./liliKeeps accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and any adverse reactions./liliFollows protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC programs, and reporting equipment failures./li/ulh3Skills/h3ulliAnatomy knowledge/liliImage evaluation/liliEquipment operation/liliContrast protocols/liliEmergency response/liliIndependent work/liliTeamwork/liliEffective communication/liliElectronic imaging/liliTask prioritization/liliClean environment/liliMRI safety/li/ulh3Physical Requirements/h3ulliOngoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies./liliFrequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations./liliManual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc./liliExpected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items./liliNeed to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items.
