Technical Lead, Sample Management - 1st Shift

Technical Lead for Sample Management at a global clinical laboratory supporting PPD's laboratory services. This first-shift supervisory role involves overseeing sample coordinators, managing sample processing workflows, training staff, and maintaining GMP compliance in a clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and execute sample coordination functions including receipt, accessioning, routing, storage, aliquoting, and shipping
• Schedule sample management staff and provide departmental oversight in management's absence
• Train, mentor, and assess sample management team members; maintain training records
• Serve as technical liaison for project-specific sample management procedures
• Respond to environmental unit alarms and participate in on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent formal academic/vocational qualification
• 1+ year of leadership or supervisory experience
• 0-5 years of relevant sample management or laboratory experience
• Basic understanding of GLP/GCP standards
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong problem-solving and project management abilities
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
