Bilingual Financial Specialist

Financial Specialists manage the "front door" to all Tri-County Behavioral Healthcare Services. Financial Specialist will provide the highest quality service possible to all clients, visitors, and staff at TCBHC. Provide empathetic guidance, problem solving, support, and assistance to all TCBHC clients.

This position's duties will include the following:

• Provide excellent customer service at all times by effectively meeting client needs, understanding who the clients are, and building quality relationships
• Keeps clients appointments on schedule by notifying provider of client's arrival, reviewing service delivery compared to schedule; reminding provider of service delays
• Responsible for managing the flow of clients
• Provides appropriate notification of issues that may result in service delays
• Verify insurance benefits for all plans associated with client, confirming the correct payer and plan is entered into the client data system
• Obtain insurance authorizations as required by individual insurance plans, documenting authorization numbers in the appropriate fields for accurate billing
• Maintain client accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information
• Provide and obtain signatures on required forms and consents

Minimum Requirements:

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of experience preferred handling client check-in, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, pre-authorization and collection in a healthcare setting.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
• Knowledge of various insurance plans (HMO, PPO, POS, Medicare, and Medicaid) strongly preferred.
• Ability to pass Computer Competency test, typing 40 wpm and Basic Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Must have a valid drivers license and be insurable through Tri-County.

Compensation:

Hourly rate: $17.68

Annual equivalent: $36,776

Location: Conroe, TX
