Group Exercise Instructor

At the Y, you'll do more than lead workouts—you'll help people build confidence, improve their health, and find a sense of belonging. We are looking for Instructors who are interested in teaching: Power Up, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8:15am Strength Based Evening Classes Group Cycling Yoga What You'll Do Lead safe, fun, and engaging group fitness classes. Create a welcoming environment where everyone feels encouraged and supported. Modify exercises to accommodate different fitness levels, abilities, and health needs. Build authentic relationships with members and foster a strong sense of community. Educate participants on healthy living while staying within your scope of practice. Track class attendance and maintain a safe exercise environment. Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow YMCA policies and procedures. We're Looking For Someone Who: Has a passion for health, wellness, and helping others succeed. Enjoys working with people from all backgrounds and abilities. Can motivate and inspire others with a positive attitude. Is dependable, professional, and a team player. Is willing to complete required YMCA certifications and trainings, including CPR, First Aid, Child Abuse Prevention, and emergency procedures within 90 days of hire. Why Work at the Y? Physical Requirements This active position requires the ability to: Lead fitness classes safely and effectively. Stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift as needed during instruction.
