We are seeking an experienced Residential Real Estate Attorney to serve and expand our client base.

We are looking for an experienced residential real estate attorney who is comfortable managing the full lifecycle of residential real estate files. The ideal candidate will take ownership of transactions from contract through closing, develop meaningful relationships with real estate professionals, and become a trusted resource for clients, agents, lenders, and other professionals involved in the transaction.

\n

\n

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who has strong residential real estate experience at a Chicago-area real estate firm and is ready to take the next step in their career.

What You’ll Do:

\n

\n

\n
• Develop and maintain relationships with real estate agents, brokers, lenders, and other referral partners
\n
• Draft, review, negotiate, and advise clients regarding residential real estate contracts
\n
• Manage attorney review and inspection negotiations
\n
• Draft attorney review letters, contract addenda and closing documents 
\n
• Communicate directly and consistently with clients, real estate agents, lenders, title companies, and opposing counsel
\n
• Review title commitments, surveys, municipal requirements, loan documents, closing statements, and other transaction related documents
\n
• Proactively identify and resolve issues that could impact closing
\n
• Keep transactions moving by actively managing deadlines, contingencies, and outstanding items
\n
• Attend residential closings in (always) person
\n
• Work closely with paralegals and other members of the firm
\n
• Keep clients' interest and objectives at the center of everything you do
\n

Who We’re Looking For:

\n

\n

We are particularly interested in attorneys who have meaningful experience handling Chicago-area residential real estate transactions in a high-volume practice.

\n

\n

The ideal candidate will require:

\n

\n

\n
• A current Illinois law license
\n
• Substantial residential real estate transaction experience
\n
• Familiarity with the Chicago-area residential real estate market and customary practices
\n
• Strong contract drafting, review, and negotiation skills
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
\n
• A confident, professional presence with clients and referral partners
\n
• A practical approach to solving problems and keeping transactions on track
\n
• The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and support staff
\n
• A genuine interest in building long-term professional relationships within the real estate community
\n
• A referral network of real estate agents is a big value add and will be accounted for in comp
