ABOUT THE POSITION

The County of Marin is seeking a dynamic, forward‑thinking professional with strong facilitation and administration skills to manage and lead an organization with critical capital requirements in an engaged and active community. This opportunity to lead the Marin County Flood Control & Water Conservation District is a unique opportunity to guide a critical public service organization that protects communities, enhances watershed health, and advances long‑term climate resilience.

The General Manager will oversee district operations, capital programs, and strategic initiatives while working collaboratively with County leadership, elected officials, partner agencies, and the community. Disaster Service Workers: All County of Marin employees are designated Disaster Service Workers through state and local law (California Government Code Section 3100-3109). Employment at the County requires the affirmation of a loyalty oath to this effect. Employees are required to complete all Disaster Service Worker‑related training as assigned, and to return to work as ordered in the event of an emergency.
