Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Perform thorough assessments and screenings during initial client interactions to determine their substance abuse history, mental health needs, and treatment goals. \n
- Create and implement personalized treatment plans that address not only the addictions but also co-occurring mental health conditions, tailoring approaches to meet the unique needs of each individual. \n
- Lead engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based methodologies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). \n
- Collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team of professionals, including physicians, nurses, and case managers, to coordinate comprehensive care plans for clients while fostering a culture of teamwork. \n
- Educate and provide support to clients’ family members, encouraging their involvement and understanding to enhance the client’s recovery process. \n
- Maintain accurate and confidential treatment records in line with industry regulations and ethical standards, ensuring continuity of care. \n
Your primary focus will be on individuals grappling with substance abuse issues along with concomitant mental health disorders. These clients come from diverse backgrounds and may face various challenges, including trauma, socio-economic factors, and mental illnesses. Having compassionate and culturally sensitive approaches is paramount to effectively support and connect with each unique client.
Qualifications\n- \n
- Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Psychologist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). \n
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field; a master’s or doctoral degree is preferred. \n
- Demonstrated expertise and relevant training in addiction counseling and substance abuse treatment methodologies. \n
- Strong competency in evidence-based practices aimed at treating substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. \n
- Exceptional therapeutic skills with a focus on establishing rapport, fostering trust, and motivating clients in their recovery journey. \n
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to effectively contribute to a team-oriented environment. \n

- A minimum of two years of direct therapeutic experience, particularly in substance abuse counseling or mental health settings. \n
- Experience with telehealth platforms and virtual therapy offerings is highly desirable. \n
- Familiarity with regulatory guidelines governing telehealth practices and patient confidentiality. \n
