Due Diligence Lead - Public Sector, Intel

Job Summary:BDO is seeking an experienced professional to support due diligence, counterintelligence, research, and analytical efforts for Intelligence Community (IC) agencies. This role will also partner with senior leaders across the Public Sector Practice to support business development, practice development, and project delivery activities. As a member of the Public Sector Practice leadership team, this individual may oversee staff, support performance management and task delegation, help resolve issues, and contribute to client project execution. The role requires strong problem-solving and fact-finding skills and the ability to work closely with team members, leadership, and client stakeholders while supporting or leading practice, solution, and business development initiatives.Job Duties:Delivers research, analytical, and advisory support by applying education, experience, and strong organizational skills in service of BDO’s dynamic public sector clientsSupports or leads workstreams, coordinating with engagement leadership and client stakeholders on strategy, planning, execution, status reporting, and quality reviewConducts qualitative and quantitative research and detailed assessments of entities, transactions, programs, and proposals to identify risks, trends, inconsistencies, and potential vulnerabilitiesProduces clear, well-supported analyses, reports, briefings, and recommendations to inform client decisions and stakeholder actionsReviews documentation, datasets, and other source materials to develop a thorough understanding of issues, operating environments, and areas of concernManages competing priorities effectively, coordinates communications, drives tasks to completion, and supports multiple efforts through flexible coordination Demonstrates the ability to prioritize assignments, manage multiple projects, and meet aggressive deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracyApplies foundational industry knowledge and relevant standards to support client reviews, process improvements, and implementation effortsBuilds and maintains relationships with key client personnel to promote a shared understanding of business processes, operations, and functionsPrepares presentations, briefings, and actively participates in client meetings and day-to-day interactionsCommunicates with team leadership through effective status reporting and demonstrates ownership and accountability for assigned workstreams and deliverablesEstablishes and maintains professional rapport with clients and external organizationsReviews work products for technical accuracy, deliverable quality, and overall value to the clientParticipates in relevant training, seminars, and conferences to remain current on professional requirements, industry developments, and client needsSupports business development efforts by identifying opportunities, strengthening existing relationships, and contributing to the growth of the firm’s practice areasAssists with business development meetings and proposal development activities under the guidance of Public Sector Practice leadershipSupports recruiting efforts by identifying prospective candidates and participating in the interview processPerforms other duties as requiredSupervisory Responsibilities:May oversee day-to-day work of Public Sector staff, including project execution, workload management, productivity, staff development, and review of work productsEvaluates staff performance, provides ongoing feedback, supports goal setting and professional development, and serves as a mentor or career advisor, as appropriateQualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:EducationBachelor’s degree, requiredExperienceSeven (7) or more years of relevant professional experience, requiredFive (5) or more years of experience conducting research and analysis, preferredTwo (2) or more years of experience with counterintelligence issues, preferredCommittee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) knowledge and/or experience, preferredLicense(s)/Certification(s)Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance, requiredSoftwareProficiency in Microsoft Office Suites (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word), requiredPrior experience with Next Generation Trident, preferredLanguage(s)N/AOther Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesAbility to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels within the client organization and in the firm Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaborate within a team environment and with a customer service focus Ability to follow instructions as directed Superior organizational skills required with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentDetail oriented with in-depth knowledge and application of English grammar and ability to proofread all written materials including proposals, pitches, presentations, etc.Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
