This role assists with electrical equipment installation, conduit and wiring work, equipment support construction, and tool maintenance while adhering to quality, safety, and production standards. The position provides an opportunity to develop electrical trade skills and grow within a structured manufacturing and apprenticeship environment.Essential FunctionsAssist in the installation of electrical switchgear, panels, controllers, wireways, trays etc.Develop the skills to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics.Assist in the installation of electrical conduit and wiring on modular chiller systems per plans.Assist in the termination of high and low voltage wiring.Construct support and infrastructure for electrical equipment.Oversee and organize electrical tool room.Troubleshoot electrical tools, welders, and grinders.Assist Journeyman or Superintendent with misc. job duties.Responsibilities may require sedentary work, including but not limited to computer operation, video review, classroom or online training, job observations/inspections, and peer work review.Prepares for ISO 9001 and other audits.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.CompetenciesStrong work ethic and a positive attitudeTechnical capacity with attention to detailGood communication skills, both oral and writtenProblem solvingOrganizational skillsTime managementSupervisory Responsibility This position has or does not have supervisory responsibilities.Work Location This position will work out of our Normandy facilities in Jacksonville, FL. This position is not approved for telecommuting or working remotely.Work Environment This position operates out of a fabrication facility. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is sometimes exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. First shift days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 6:00am. to 4:30pm. Second shift days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 2:30pm to 1:00am.
