Accountant

The Accountant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This role will assist with month-end close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, journal entries, and compliance with company policies and GAAP. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment. Prepare and post journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and year-end close. Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and general ledger accounts. Maintain and analyze general ledger activity to ensure accuracy and completeness. Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports. Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and reconciling items. Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions as needed. Assist with internal and external audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation. Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies. Monitor and maintain accurate financial records and documentation. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency within the accounting function. Perform special projects and ad hoc reporting as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 2-5 years of accounting experience. Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles. Experience with general ledger accounting and account reconciliations. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and formulas. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
