Job Title Systems Analyst V (2601218) Salary Minimum Salary: $84,182.00 Maximum Salary: $142,374.00 Pay Basis: Yearly Work Information Location: Stassney Hq - Main, 6230 East Stassney Lane, Austin 78744 Travel: Yes, 10% of the time Shift: Day Location Flexibility: Onsite Work Schedule: Hybrid (Work from home / onsite) Responsibilities Supports the planning, design, development, implementation, and management of PEPS IT initiatives (enterprise initiatives). Oversees the evaluation of methods, tools, hardware, and software used to improve the analysis, development, integration, implementation, and maintenance of information systems. Creates new standard reports; collaborates with end users to gather report requirements and ensure proper testing and validation. Designs, builds, tests, implements, and maintains both publish and ad‑hoc reports in response to customer change requests. Analyzes new or existing procedures and information systems for efficiency and effectiveness. Oversees or defines system goals, devises flow charts and diagrams describing logical operational steps of programs. Coordinates with users to identify system requirements, develop functional design specifications, and solve complex operational problems. Coordinates requests or completes user security changes or additions and facilitates security authorizations for new users. Reviews and analyzes reports and performance indicators to locate code problems, and corrects errors by modifying or correcting code. Writes programs and/or queries for spreadsheet or database software to create reports and import/export data. Leads projects and project teams. Performs other job responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer/Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline. (Related experience and/or relevant technical training may be substituted on a year‑per‑year basis.) Work Experience: 5 years of experience in systems analysis, application systems support, or related work. (Full‑time or prorated part‑time equivalent acceptable; related graduate level education may be substituted on a year‑per‑year basis.) License and Certification: Valid driver’s license; position requires driving a state vehicle. IT/IS software and hardware development methodologies and standards. Concepts, techniques, and tools used in planning, designing, and implementing database management systems and related technologies. Maintaining effective working relationships with others. Scheduling, testing, installing, and implementing computer programs/systems. Communicating technical information effectively. Analyzing and organizing business and technical data. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Sedentary work: lift up to 10 lbs at a time, occasionally carry files/small tools. Sitting for prolonged periods. Repetitive motion: substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
