Medical Receptionist Medical Assistant

Job Description

The Medical Receptionist Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations within a medical office by managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate medical records. This position demands excellent organizational skills and familiarity with healthcare procedures to support both patients and medical staff efficiently.

Responsibilities

Patient Check-In and greeting
Scheduling and managing patient appointments
Maintaining and updating medical records accurately
Verifying patient insurance information
Handling telephone inquiries and directing calls appropriately

Preferred Qualifications

1+ years of experience in medical reception or assisting
High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of medical terminology
Experience with patient scheduling and Electronic Health Records (EHR)
Strong data entry skills and HIPAA compliance awareness
Blood draw and EKG proficiency
