AI Engineer

A large healthcare retail enterprise is looking for an AI Automation Engineer to join their Enterprise Delivery vertical. This team touches on all AI efforts around GenAI and Machine Learning Principles for any of the finance or healthcare applications, such as SAP, that the enterprise uses. This team currently has 5-6 use cases that are in flight that were built from scratch. You will help with the discovery phase for other projects, especially dealing with cold data intensive items like reconciliation and using AI tools such as Case Cursor to help progress their AI efforts. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior AI Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in AI technologies, with a strong background in full-stack Python development, GenAI application design, document processing pipelines, and optionally machine learning model development for prediction and anomaly detection. This role focuses on hands-on development, technical problem-solving, and delivering high-quality AI solutions in a production environment while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test full-stack (frontend, backend, API) Python-based AI applications.
- Build and implement GenAI applications using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) in production environments.
- Develop and optimize document ingestion pipelines and processing workflows utilizing vector databases (e.g., MongoDB Atlas).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and reliable AI solutions.
- Contribute across the software development lifecycle, from design through deployment and maintenance.
- Deploy, monitor, and maintain AI applications on cloud platforms such as Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Integrate and work with Agentic AI and MCP technologies within AI solutions.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, providing clear updates and documentation.

Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of hands on programming and engineering experience centered around AI and Machine Learning.
- Strong understanding with GenAI, agentic AI and LLMs
- Public Cloud exposure, preferably around Azure and exposure to Azure AI tools.
- Strong hands-on experience in full-stack Python development (frontend, backend, APIs).
- Demonstrated experience designing and deploying GenAI applications using RAG architecture in production.
- Hands-on experience building document ingestion pipelines and working with vector databases (MongoDB Atlas preferred).


Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Healthcare enterprise experience or related projects
- Design and develop AI/ML models for data analytics, prediction, anomaly detection, and forecasting.
- Experience in developing and tuning machine learning models for prediction, anomaly detection, or forecasting.
- SAP experience
