Engineering Technician

SouthEastern Illinois Electric Cooperative, Inc. (SEIEC) is a member-owned, not-for-profit, electric distribution Cooperative headquartered in Carrier Mills, Illinois. SEIEC provides service to 10 counties in southeastern Illinois serving over 24,000 accounts. POSITION SouthEastern Illinois Electric Cooperative (SEIEC), located at 100 Cooperative Way, Carrier Mills, IL, is seeking qualified candidates to fill an Engineering Technician position. The Engineering Technicians responsibilities include, but are not limited to, designing and staking of electric lines, procuring right of way, load calculations for new and existing services and communicating and advising members on matters pertaining to new and existing electrical service. QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES: Minimum qualifications are Associates in Engineering Science, Electric Engineering Technology or equivalent, Bachelors in Electrical or Civil Engineering is preferred Professional experience in the utility industry is a plus Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products Experience and knowledge in ESRI software and AutoCAD desired Ability to plan project schedules with deadlines and ability to apply critical thinking Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills Must possess a valid driver’s license BENEFITS: Defined Benefit Retirement Plan Paid Time Off Includes Vacation, Sick Time and Family Sick Time SALARY: Hourly Wage Range -$26.58-$53.54 per hour (Wage will be Commensurate on Qualifications and Experience) An Equal Opportunity Employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr
