Job Title: Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience
License: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS)
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
Must-Have:
2+ years of experience
Experience with Impella and LVAD
Ability to work over the holidays
Previous traveler experience
Experience with Strain, TAVR, and Watchman
Description:
Responsible for diagnostic cardiac or vascular ultrasound.
Provides accurate images of cardiac structures for physician diagnosis.
Delivers immediate feedback with preliminary reports of critical results.
Assists with complex procedures to decrease procedural risks.
Demonstrates correct technique, efficiency, and judgment in procedures.
Performs adult and/or pediatric cardiac ultrasound procedures.
Reviews pertinent patient data and reports before procedures.
Operates equipment necessary to perform required procedures.
Exercises appropriate judgment in notifying physicians of abnormal results.
Assists physicians during complex procedures in various settings.
Maintains proper documentation according to hospital policy.
Documents all procedures accurately in the departmental tracking process.
Documents procedural data necessary for patient care accurately.
Processes charging and other necessary data efficiently.
Documents consistently in the patient chart.
Collaborates in the maintenance of departmental efficiency.
Anticipates the need for equipment and supplies.
Utilizes resources effectively for cost containment.
Schedules patients efficiently.
Contributes to unit and hospital goals through QA and educational activities.
Maintains current competency and registry in two specialty practices.
Demonstrates initiative in personal and professional development.
Complies with mandatory education standards.
Participates in departmental QA processes.
Modifies behavior and performance to meet changing goals.
Maintains compliance with departmental policies.
Maintains a clean work environment and practices infection control.
Promotes the safety of patients, visitors, and personnel.
Maintains confidentiality of patients, employees, physicians, and corporate information.
Collaborates effectively with all healthcare team members.
Utilizes independent judgment in decision-making.
Coordinates activities with others without supervision.
Works directly with patients and/or customers frequently.
Engages with internal customers through various forms of interaction.
Interacts with healthcare professionals and staff regularly.
Frequently collaborates with individuals at the Director level or above.
