Job Description

The CNC Machinist sets up and operates both manual and CNC machines to work on large, heavy fabricated parts and valve components. This role involves tearing down and rebuilding valves, running complex CNC equipment, and using a wide range of hand and power tools to complete precision mechanical assembly and machining tasks independently.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate both manual and CNC machines to machine large, heavy fabricated parts.

• Tear down old valves, disassemble components, and safely handle large mechanical parts.

• Inspect and inventory salvageable valve parts and document usable components for reuse.

• Assemble brand new valves using nuts, bolts, pipes, pipe fittings, gaskets, and seals according to specifications and schematics.

• Perform mechanical assembly and reassembly of valve components to meet quality and performance standards.

• Test assembled valves to verify proper operation and identify any defects or adjustments needed.

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions to complete machining and assembly tasks accurately.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Evans City, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
