Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations by performing preventive, corrective, and troubleshooting maintenance on production equipment and facility systems. This role ensures machinery operates safely, efficiently, and reliably by following established maintenance procedures and responding quickly to equipment issues. The technician works closely with production, engineering, and reliability teams to minimize downtime, support continuous improvement, and maintain a safe working environment. This position requires strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast paced industrial setting.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assists with performing preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.

• Supports troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues to restore equipment functionality.

• Follows established maintenance procedures, safety guidelines, and lockout/tagout requirements.

• Assists with equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications.

• Supports production by responding to equipment issues and helping minimize downtime.

• Assists with inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and component replacements.

• Follows documentation requirements by completing work orders and updating equipment history in the CMMS.

• Supports reliability efforts by identifying recurring issues and recommending improvements.

• Follows all OSHA, GMP, and company safety standards, including proper PPE use.

• Assists with maintaining spare parts inventory and reporting low‑stock items.

• Supports housekeeping and 5S activities in maintenance and production areas.

• Assists with shutdown activities, special projects, and cross‑functional tasks as assigned.

• Supports off‑shift or downtime maintenance needs when required.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of HVAC, plumbing, mechanical systems, and industrial machinery.

• Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining equipment (e.g., motor controls, pneumatics, hydraulics).

• Electrical Knowledge: Basic understanding of wiring, circuits, sensors, and control panels (within certification limits).

• Team Collaboration: Support and train other technicians, assisting during major repairs, and maintaining strong teamwork.

• Safety & Compliance: Knowledge of OSHA regulations, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and PPE usage.

• Time Management: Prioritizing tasks, from preventive maintenance to urgent repairs.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• 2+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, industrial, or related environments, with knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

• Technical training or certifications desired: industrial maintenance, electrical, HVAC, mechanics.
